2. Click on your locality;
3. Click SEARCH.

 Here's a glance at what you'll find...

Few camps are free, but many offer scholarships or sliding scale fees, and discounts for families with multiple children.

  • Some organizations provide summer camp scholarships as part of their charitable giving, such as Bertha Snyder Children's Care Fund, call 757-852-9797 (no website).
  • Union Mission has a free summer camp for those who apply, on a first come, first serve basis.

Best bets - all can be found in our database:

  • Boys and Girls Clubs
  • Local Parks and Recreation Departments/ Community Centers
  • YMCAs - across Southside and Peninsula
  • Libraries (free stuff!)
  • Arts Centers
  • Search the Virginia Pilot's Database for little known activities and religous camps at HamptonRoads.com
