WHO WE ARE   The Newport News Child Advocacy Team is a non-profit, multi-disciplinary team of service professionals and citizens who advocate for the early detection, comprehensive treatment, and community-wide prevention of child abuse and neglect and child sexual abuse.  The Newport News Child Advocacy Team was established in November of 1975. 

HOW WE HELP   The Child Advocacy Team places special emphasis on helping to develop innovative programs to prevent and detect child abuse and neglect; educating parents and the public about how to protect children and prevent abuse; and promote community concern and action to end child abuse in Newport News, Virginia. 

With support of the community, our partnership agencies, and a successful Celebrity Luncheon event, the Newport News Child Advocacy Team is able to award small grants to support programs and projects, which further our goal of preventing child abuse and neglect.

WHEN & WHERE WE MEET   First Monday of each month, except holidays @ 11:30AM-1PM - Peninsula Health Department on J.Clyde Morris Blvd. Newport News. Second floor large conference room. Please join us!
