InnerActive Bus

More than 1700 children stepped onto the Y-Bus last year to learn! 

Leisa Todd, who coordinates the program, is passionate about this
work that introduces children and youth to technology, while teaching
the Y's core values of

• Caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

In addition, youth people can enhance academics, explore careers, and learn
some basic word processing skills!  This program of the YMCA of South Hampton Roads' 
Community Services Branch was recently highlighted at the YMCA USA Expo in Florida. 

The Community Services Branch was awarded an Annie E. Casey Foundation Grant
for it Strengthening Families efforts - in part because of the InnerActive Bus!

It travels with up to 12 computers with Internet Satellite - and is in a neighborhood
