COPE with it! Raising Resilient Children in a Diverse World - for Parents and Professionals

What are they thinking? Children are exposed to many challenging scenarios in our schools, communities and world today. Learn how to communicate with your child about the tough stuff in a way that leaves them feeling confident about who they are and respectful of the differences they see. Recognizing and respecting differences in other's abilities, gender identity, family make-up, race and religion and citizenship status are important lessons for children to learn, and you want them to learn from you.

Presenter:  Z. Andrew Jatau, MS, LPC has worked with diverse populations as a case manager, professional counselor and adjunct professor. He has developed programs and presentations focused on helping children, teens and young adults develop socially and emotionally. He is the founder and CEO of Mylemarks LLC. and has authored three books: The Big Book of Feelings; Cope With It!; and The Bullying Workbook.  Learn more at
